Job Context

In continuation of that, BRAC has taken Humanitarian Crisis Management Project in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox`s Bazar district to support the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide necessary support to the Field Assistant to run at least two hygiene sessions daily basis.
• Monitor & supervise the construction of the relevant WASH activities in the assigned working area.
• Distribute and follow up the daily work plan among the Field Assistants, Hygiene Promoters, and laborers.
• Work with the Field Assistant for finding site/locations for constructing WASH facilities by taking GPS and necessary data.
• Keep all distribution documents, a master roll of all constructed WASH facilities.
• Provide a necessary report of every WASH facility constructed, repaired & maintenance on a daily basis.
• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor degree in any discipline
• Bachelor/honors in any subject from any recognized university with minimum 2nd class/ division/ CGPA 2.50 in all academic examinations. No 3rd class/ division/ below CGPA 2.00 is acceptable.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year(s)

• Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues, and hygiene practice,
• Fluency in the Chittagonian language
• Community mobilization skills
