Job Context

  • Project: Preventing and responding to Gender Based Violence and other forms of Violence among women, girls and boys in Kutupalong Camps 11 & 12 (Funded by UNICEF)
  • Location of posting: Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
  • Types of contract: Fixed term contract
  • Duration of Contract: Up to 09 December 2021
  • Number of positions: 3 (Women are encouraged to apply)

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with SRO as collaborate approach and support SSWG manager
  • Conduct community outreach awareness session
  • Preserve record and evidence of participants, sessions
  • CWG formation and make it functional through conduct meeting, awareness session regularly
  • Communicate and liaison with CiC secretariat, site management and other actor at community level for smoot support and services of participants as per their requirement
  • Take initiative for mobilizing men, adolescent boys, girls, religious leaders, community leaders through conduct meeting, training , awareness session, discussion , sensitization and follow-up progress
  • Assist in developing message on the type of services available as well as awareness issue, where these services are available, support to communities for accessing services, consequences of GBV and its prevention, protection and mitigation
  • Identify concerns related to and support adherence to GBV referral protocols and GBV guiding principles and bringing this concern to SRO.

Educational Requirements

  • Preferably Postgraduation, at least a bachelor’s degree in Gender studies, Social work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, Public Health, International Development and any other relevant field of study.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience in a developmental organization.
  • Experience in working with marginalized/vulnerable groups
  • Knowledge and experience on management, research, networking & Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA).
  • Understanding of case management and analysis
  • Knowledge of Protection and GBV principals
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken Bengali and English;
  • Ability to work independently and foster a team spirit;
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • Skills in report writing, documentation and presentation;
  • Gender sensitive and familiar with humanitarian principles, Human Rights Based Approach;
  • Good knowledge of using internet and software packages (i.e. MS Office, etc).
