Job Context

  • Project: Preventing and responding to Gender Based Violence and other forms of Violence among women, girls and boys in Kutupalong Camps 11 & 12 (Funded by UNICEF)
  • Location of posting: Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
  • Types of contract: Fixed term contract
  • Duration of Contract: Up to 09 December 2021
  • Number of positions: 2 (Women are encouraged to apply)

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure receiving case from CFRM (Complain feedback and Response Mechanism), GBV issues and record actors
  • Referred Case for the necessary support and Follow up the referral system
  • Update to CIC about the GBV cases as daily basis
  • Provide Psychological Support and First Aid to GBV and SGBV survivors
  • Refer survivor for psychological counselling and maintain record. Also follow up the referred case
  • GBV case referred to other service providers and keep record through case management system
  • Maintain strong confidentiality while handling any kind of GBV and SGBV case management. Also ensure protection and GBV principal through service center approach
  • Actively involve in all case closure process
  • Responsible for conducting awareness raising sessions
  • Liaison and communicate with CIC, Site management, Service provider & Protection actors to ensure proper service for the survivors
  • Coordinate with the service providers for very sensitive and confidential services (Legal services, Safe shelter etc.)

Educational Requirements

  • Preferably Postgraduation, at least a bachelor’s degree in Gender studies, Social work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, Public Health, International Development and any other relevant field of study.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience in a developmental organization.
  • Experience in working with marginalized/vulnerable groups
  • Knowledge and experience on management, research, networking & Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA).
  • Local Language Proficiency
  • Understanding of case management and analysis
  • Knowledge of Protection and GBV principals
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken Bengali and English;
  • Ability to work independently and foster a team spirit;
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • Skills in report writing, documentation and presentation;
  • Gender sensitive and familiar with humanitarian principles, Human Rights Based Approach;
  • Good knowledge of using internet and software packages (i.e. MS Office, etc).
