Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Jawan’ is one the most-anticipated films in recent times. We already know that alongside Shah Rukh, the action entertainer will see South actor Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role. The film is being directed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara in a significant role.

Now, according to reports, Vijay has charged a whopping amount for the pan-Indian film and the amount is reportedly 21 crores. This is perhaps the maximum amount that Sethupathi has charged for a film so far. There are reports that suggest that his previous remuneration was 15 crores but after the stupendous success of his recent release ‘Vikram’ and the appreciation he received from all corners encouraged the seasoned actor to increase his fees. He has even reportedly turned down two films to be a part of this action-packed entertainer. His character in ‘Jawan’ is so impactful that Vijay didn’t mind leaving other projects. The popular actor will be seen as Shah Rukh’s primary villain in the film.

Earlier several media reports claimed that SRK and Atlee were keen on roping in Vijay Sethupathi after Rana Daggubati backed out of the film because of date issues due to his ill health. Shah Rukh and Sethupathi have been huge admirers of each other for years, and hence, when Shah Rukh himself offered Sethupathi this role in Jawan, he couldn’t refuse it.

‘Jawan’ which is billed as a Pan-Indian extravaganza with a massive budget of about 200 crores also has Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover in key roles.
